Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters

Moderate northeasterly flow tonight will gradually increase once again Friday as a coastal trough develops along the Lower Texas coast. There will be a chance of light rain Friday in response to the strengthening coastal trough...mainly south of Port Aransas. Winds and seas will subside by Saturday as the center of high pressure moves into south Texas. Onshore flow will become established again late Sunday into Monday as low pressure develops near the Texas Panhandle and high pressure across the Southern Plains pushes east. Increasing Gulf moisture and an upper level disturbance will produce a chance of rain Sunday night into Monday. A strong cold front will push through by the Tuesday afternoon with strong offshore flow and large seas expected behind it.
