Synopsis
An area of high pressure will remain in place through Saturday. Hurricane Gustav is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico early Sunday and begin affecting the coastal waters late Sunday through Tuesday...possibly as a major hurricane. Mariners with plans to venture into any portion of the coastal waters late this weekend into early next week should closely monitor the National Hurricane Center forecasts concerning Hurricane Gustav.
