	Marooned without a Compass Day--Friday, November 6, 2009

Guess it depends on with whom you are marooned just how serious being without a compass would be..... Lots of sun and just a few clouds at Yoho this morning--windy though. We are fortunate that the Noreaster slamming our Nova Scotia neighbours and the Eastern part of this province has misses this part of the Maritimes. The temperature at 11:30 a.m. is 0C (32F) with a strong northeasterly wind. The old lumberjack says that he got a lot of exercise the last few years.....just getting over the hill.

I hope no one is thinking about setting any fires. A fire required in the wood stove today, as it has been the past few days. The temperature at 1:50 p.m. ia 3C (37F) with a slight easterly breeze. A noreaster headed this way--not supposed to hit this far inland, but things can change. I put four new tires on the car this morning 8-( The old lumberjack wonders why if work is so terrific, why do they have to pay you to do it.

Even a day for ancient Egytpians????? Sunny, chilly and windy at Yoho this morning. The temperature at 10:30 a.m. is 3.5C (38F) with a strong northwesterly breeze. Looks like a day for inside chores. The old lumberjack says that if you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.

Gosh, and I didn't get my housewife a present...... Lots of sun for most of the day, now a few clouds competing for space. The temperature at 3:30 p.m. is 6.6C (49F) with a slight northerly breeze. Curled this morning and starting a winning streak of one..... The old lumberjack wonders why "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean the same thing.

	Look for Circles Day--Monday, November 2, 2009

Lots of small circular holes on my lawn as a result of a skunk digging for grubs--not a pretty sight. Lots of sun around this morning with a temperature of 2C (35.5F) with an easterly breeze at 10:00 a.m. A good day to put the last of the lawn furniture under cover. The old lumberjack says that everytime he hears the word "exercise" he washes his mouth out with chocolate.
